Variance

A variance is requested when a property owner wants to do something to their property or structure(s) on that property that do not comply with the Zoning Code. A Board of Adjustment Application must be filled out and returned with all necessary paperwork. The cost is $250.00.  The Board of Adjustment meets on a regular basis/as needed on the 1st Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m.

The Board must render a decision within 45 days of submittal of paperwork to the Town Clerk. However, it is the applicants responsibility to appear before the Board of Adjustment during the meeting where their item is on the agenda. Absence from this meeting will prompt the Board to Table the item until the next regularly scheduled meeting.
