Finance Director/ Treasurer position available

The Town of Beloit, Rock County is currently recruiting for the position of Finance Director/Treasurer. The community is made up of 27 square miles, 8,000 residents, an assessed value of over $50M, and an annual general fund budget over $7M. The Town provides for Sewer and Stormwater Utilities as well as fulltime Fire, Police and Public Works. The Town of Beloit is a rapidly expanding municipality with great growth potential with numerous residential developments, new and remodeled schools, and plans for more development potential with TIF opportunities.

This position is a key member of the Town’s Management team and reports directly to the Town Administrator.  The Town is looking for a self-starter who enjoys what they do and strives for excellence.  Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or similar field.  Minimum of 3 years of progressively challenging work/supervisory experience within a governmental finance capacity, but a combination of education and experience will be considered. We are looking for someone with a proven work ethic, drive, and dedication to their profession and the community.  The salary range for this position is $55,000 – $70,000 dependent on qualifications.  The Town offers a very competitive benefit package.
