The Town of Beloit, Rock County, is currently recruiting for the position of Finance Director/Treasurer. The community is made up of 27 square miles, 8,000 residents, an assessed value of $447M and an annual general fund budget of just over $5.5M. The Town provides for Sewer and Stormwater Utilities as well as a Water Utility in the future. This is a very rapidly expanding municipality with great growth potential. Economic Development, Service Provision and Infrastructure construction and maintenance are of the utmost importance to the Town’s leadership. In addition to a very robust local economy with ever-growing opportunity, the Town is also undertaking incorporation into a Village which is proving to be a very challenging and rewarding undertaking.

This position is a very important member of the Town’s Management Team and reports directly to the Town Administrator. The Town is looking for someone with a history of excellence. A self-starter who loves sharing ideas and genuinely loves what they do is preferred. The Town has an outstanding staff who truly care for the community they serve and have great attitudes. We are looking for a leadership partner to work with us to rise to the next level. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, public or business administration with a Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of progressively challenging work/supervisory experience within a governmental finance capacity is required, but a combination of education and experience will be considered for the right candidate. We are looking for someone with a proven work ethic, drive, ideas, and a dedication to their profession and the community. The salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000 DOQ.
