Roads Department

Overview

The Road Department has the responsibility of maintaining the 80 miles of roads in the Town. This includes:

• Crack filling
• Cutting trees and brush
• Mowing roadsides
• Mowing the ditches in the summer
• Patching
• Plowing and sanding in the winter
• Issuing Road Permits
• Issuing Application to Work in Public Right-Of-Way

The road crew is also responsible for the maintenance of the 80 acres of parkland within the Town. Services for parklands include mowing grass, playground equipment maintenance, caring for the baseball fields and the maintenance of all structures.
